Unorthographic

Far far away, behind the word mountains, far from the countries Vokalia and Consonantia, there live the blind texts. Separated they live in Bookmarksgrove right at the coast of the Semantics, a large language ocean.

A small river named Duden flows by their place and supplies it with the necessary regelialia. It is a paradisematic country, in which roasted parts of sentences fly into your mouth.

Even the all-powerful Pointing has no control about the blind texts it is an almost unorthographic life One day however a small line of blind text by the name of Lorem Ipsum decided to leave for the far World of Grammar.

The Big Oxmox advised her not to do so, because there were thousands of bad Commas, wild Question Marks and devious Semikoli, but the Little Blind Text didn’t listen. She packed her seven versalia, put her initial into the belt and made herself on the way. When she reached the first hills of the Italic Mountains, she had a last view back on the skyline of her hometown Bookmarksgrove, the headline of Alphabet Village and the subline of her own road, the Line Lane. Pityful a rethoric question ran over her cheek, then

Booze and Pixies

I walked to the nearby liquor store for my "lunch" break (it's almost 2 and i finished lunch hours ago), because I wanted to pick up a little extra imbidement supplies for the weekend.  As usual for the particular intersection where I was, cars screech around corners and slam on their brakes, so the cute pixie-haired girl and I discussed that while I browsed.

As she was ringing me up, the phone rang, and she said "This is she" and then broke into a perma-smile, the kind you can't wipe off, even if you try.  The card reader was being slow, so I stood there while it printed my reciept and she was able to write down a number and hang up.  Because of the way the convo went, as I was signing my reciept, I asked her if she got asked out on a date, and she laughed and said 'yes," and apologized.  I said not to, because she was glowing and it was nice.

I wished her a great date and went on my way, but it was a nice encounter I'd like to remember.

I've been out walking

Or hiking as the case may be. Since the rain from Hermoine, the Barton Springs trail looks a lot different, with white-water flowing over the once dry rockbed. It's incredibly cool to see nature's results on herself, and how the land reacts to the change.

Having two hours with mu husband all to myself -where we talk about movies, games, podcasts, and life - is a great big scoop of whipped cream and fancy chocolate shavings on top of the lovliness of the walking itself.

Further down the trail we saw swans, but the picture I took could just as well represent doves, white plastic bags or cotton balls floating on the water ;)

Unfotunately, the lovely hike ended with me falling up the gravelly hill that leads back to the road. So now I have a giant goose-egg on my knee, but also a great excuse to not move from the couch - which was my plan for the day anyway.

I've been out walking
